Amarillo, TX: FMD Protection Plan Meeting
The Panhandle Regional Planning Commission (PRPC) Foot & Mouth Disease (FMD) Protection Plan Meeting was held on May 15, 2013 in Amarillo, TX.
This meeting aimed to provide interested parties with an overview of progress made on the Panhandle Regional Resiliency Assessment Program (RRAP) Project and discuss how the Panhandle Regional FMD Protection Plan is going to be integrated with state plans.
- Present the FMD Protection Plan Project, including the results of the meeting held in Austin.
- Discuss/modify workshop and planning concept as needed.
Local emergency managers (EMs) and RRAP stakeholders attended the meeting. Discussion items included the development of the FMD Protection Plan, the EM Stakeholder Meeting in July, and the FMD Fact-Finding Workshop in August. This meeting primarily centered around local issues.
