Integrated Early Warning (IEW) Advanced Technology Demonstration (ATD) Concept Demonstration (CD-1)

United States Pacific Command (USPACOM) and United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) hosted a successful Integrated Early Warning (IEW) first concept demonstration (CD-1) on 10 March 2017, at the USARPAC Future Concepts Directorate, Fort Shafter, Hawaii. The IEW Advanced Technology Demonstration (ATD) CD -1 engaged military stakeholders from USPACOM and all four Component Commands and obtained operator feedback on proposed new technologies designed to enhance early warning for chemical and biological incidents.

Key objectives included:

  • Discuss USPACOM use cases to better understand current chemical/biological detection and reporting capabilities
  • Present advanced surveillance concepts in context of the USPACOM Use Cases
  • Gather stakeholder feedback to shape the follow-on concept demonstration in August 2017 and to further technology development
